John texted his wife; "Sorry my wife I will not be able to come and take you, because am in the hospital, my mother lost much blood so I am worried about her blood transfusion" His wife answered; "So your mother is what you consider to be more important than me.?, that is, I have to use motorcycle to go to the party?! 

That's my car, then you bother me for your Mom's cause! That's not an ambulance, you would want to take care of your Mother you could buy yours!"



He wrote a text message but before sending, his phone rang and was insulted by his wife upon picking up. John asked; "So I should leave Mama and come there to take you?" His wife replied, "yes if you leave her there will she die?! Didn't you it is a hospital!! No doctors there?! or are you a doctor?!.


How am I going to party alone like I don't have a husband!! John hanged up the phone and after about half an hour he was home ready to pick up his wife, as soon as the woman got in the car, they went to the party.

The ceremony began, with a woman drinking so angry she didn't even want to talk to her husband. John remained silent with many thoughts always holding his phone. During all that time, his wife did not even ask him anything about Mama.

The ceremony ended and they all got into the car returning home. They slept until morning while his wife asked him nothing. They got ready for work, and as they were leaving John asked his wife.

“So should I take you to work or do you go to look at your Mom first? Her condition was worsening yesterday and I do not know if she received blood transfusion?” His wife jumped, and her eye went out in fear. "My mother! who told you my mother was sick, as I talked to her yesterday and she was fine!” 

With a smile John replied "Yesterday didn't I tell you Mama was in serious condition in hospital?, She had an accident!"

"You told me but you didn't tell me if it was my Mom" His wife replied

“My wife, are we not one flesh!, now when I said Mom I didn't need to say my mom or yours, because I know my mom is your mom and your mom is my mom. John replied.

While crying, “Now you left my Mom in the hospital? You came and we went to celebrate when my mother is sick on bed!” Wife asked.

"She had a car accident yesterday, she lost a lot of blood, now there was no blood in the hospital so I was looking for people to her, so when you said stop worrying as there are doctors, I left and now I don't know how her situation got worse." John said.

While crying his wife got into a car and demanded that her husband drive faster, John drove slowly through his office to sign, his wife complained but told her that he could not skip signing just to check on Mom.

In a way her wife was so frustrated that she couldn't even drive, so had to wait for her husband to sign. All the way his wife kept crying, John just smiled while listening to soft music. 

His wife knew her mother had died of hemorrhage as she was described and aware that she could not survive. When they arrived and found her relatives outside, she greeted them and asked Mother's condition and they told her to go in to see for herself.

She became increasingly confused knowing her mother had died. When she entered and found her mother doing great, greeted her and apologized for not coming to see her saying she wasn't told, her mother asked in surprise. 

“You didn't know when your Husband was here, the young man was so worried till I get blood transfusion, he went through a lot yesterday. My daughter here you got a husband. Had it not been your husband I would have died as the doctors said I would not make it without blood transfusion…”

 John's wife was unable to say a thing, she did not know that John did not stop looking for blood donors to make sure her mother was safe and so he left. “I didn't tell her Mama, yesterday she was feeling bad, I think she had stresses, so I said not to tell her because she would go crazy. In the morning I told her after I saw her doing well” John said.

I'm fine now my son, thank you so much for worrying about me yesterday, I was in very serious condition. Her mother spoke as she smiled upon him. His wife got up, in tears and hugged her husband and told him "forgive me my husband, now so I know what marriage means".

John hugged her tight and said "Don't worry my wife I love you so much, I just wanted you to learn that wealth is not everything. I know you have exceeded me with your income but money is sought and never value money beyond the value of humanity."
